Deputy Manager & Forest School Lead

Do you dream of combining your love of early years leadership with your passion for outdoor learning? We have an exciting opportunity for aDeputy Manager with a Forest School Leader qualification to join our team and bring something truly special to our nursery.

In this dual role, you'll be a key part of our management team as Deputy Manager, supporting the smooth running of the setting every day. At the same time, you'll be responsible for creating and delivering our brand-new Forest School programme, making outdoor adventures and nature-led learning a core part of our children's experience.

With our newly refurbished gardens and a dedicated Forest School area ready to be shaped, this is an exciting opportunity to put your own stamp on the space and bring your vision to life.

What you'll be doing:

* Deputy Manager duties:
* Leading the team alongside the Nursery Manager, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance at all times.
* Supporting and mentoring staff, driving professional development and outstanding practice.
* Building strong partnerships with families, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
* Forest School Lead duties:
* Designing and running a creative, inspiring Forest School programme.
* Embedding outdoor learning into our everyday practice, giving children the freedom to explore, discover, and thrive.
* Training and inspiring staff to confidently deliver sessions that nurture curiosity and resilience.

What we're looking for:

* Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
* Forest School Leader qualification (essential).
* Proven leadership experience within an early years setting.
* Strong safeguarding knowledge and confidence in leading others.
* A team player who is positive, enthusiastic, and a great role model.
* A passion for outdoor learning and a drive to make learning fun and inclusive.
