Job Title: Childcare Skills Coach Location: Flexible Working Hours: This role could be 2-5 days a week dependant on applicant Salary: Generous (dependent on experience) This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and qualified Childcare Skills Coach to join our growing team based within the South coast, predominately within Sussex. If you would like to join our amazing team, read on… Responsibilities Delivering apprenticeships face to face in L2 and L3 Early Years Delivering Skills Boot Camps in Early Years Providing specialist information, advice, and support to learners Providing the required level of support for each learner to enable timely successful completions Ensuring learners remain on programme by regularly checking in and carrying out progress reviews, either remotely or in the workplace on a 1:1 basis Maintaining learners' records, including teaching records, plans and progress Meets the needs of learners with additional learning support requirements with a variety of learning differences and disabilities Preparing learners for their End Point Assessment (EPA) and supporting with their off the job training Marking all work via the Aptem e-portfolio system and providing constructive feedback Implementing additional support where needed Reporting safeguarding disclosures, through the safeguarding process Responsible for personal ongoing CPD and keeping up to date with any changes within the sector Attending standardisation meetings and NSA team meetings Experience Experience of working within the work-based learning industry, delivering apprenticeship qualifications and quality assuring against early years standards and certificate/diplomas - essential You will have had at least 2 years' experience of working within the early years sector Previous experience within the further education and/or training sector Experience in a similar environment and of teaching a variety of learners with different abilities and age Previous delivery of apprenticeship standards Previous use of e-portfolio systems Relevant experience of supporting and enabling learners with learning support needs Qualifications Assessor Award TAQA, A1 or equivalent - essential IQA/V1 certificate - desirable Teaching qualification - desirable Skills Excellent communication skills, able to effectively manage a caseload of apprentices and demonstrate good time management skills You will also need knowledge of Microsoft Office software and have competent keyboard and IT skills Hold a clean UK driving license and be a car driver - essential.
