Pulse has an exciting opportunity available for a Band 7 Neuro Physiotherapist to work within an NHS service within Basingstoke, Hampshire. The post is available for the appointed physiotherapist to start as soon as possible, offering full time working hours per week for a 3-month period.
A qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.Four years’ experience working as an Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist.Previous experience as a Therapy Lead would be an advantage. Previous experience working within a neuro environment.Good leadership skills.Commitment to make a real difference to the lives of our patients. Have excellent communications skills, a great attitude to teamwork and a desire to lead on patient care. Flexible to work shifts. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

Experience:
Qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist: 4 years (required)
Therapy Lead: 1 year (required)
The successful candidate must have good experience working with patients with neurological conditions including stroke, head injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis & progressive conditions. The candidate will need experience in rehabilitation and the management of long term conditions. Seeing patients, both in their own home, care homes & in the community as required Assessment & treatment / intervention of patients with Neurological conditions in the community setting
Duties within this role will include:
1. Providing rehabilitation treatment to a caseload of patients with a range of movement problems due to various complex neurological conditions
2. Working within a multidisciplinary team of other physiotherapists
3. Monitoring patient progress and setting realistic, achievable goals
4. Providing support and advice to patients, carers, families and other clinical staff when required
To be considered for this role you must:
5. Be HCPC registered as a Physiotherapist
6. Have experience of working within an NHS neuro setting
7. Hold the relevant degree/qualifications in physiotherapy
8. Be a car driver with access to your own vehicle
9. Be empathetic and caring
10. Have excellent communication skills
11. Good time management
12. Interest in anatomy and physiology
