Brook View School
Cambian Brook View School offers a fully integrated approach to the Education, Care, and Clinical support for young people aged 8 to 18 years, who come to us on a full-time, residential basis from across the country, with a range of Autistic Spectrum and associated complex needs.
Set in over 20 acres of beautiful countryside with potential for forest dens, classrooms, gardens, stables, tracks, and trails, our teams will have the chance to build an amazing landscape for nurturing and developing the creativity and imagination of our children and young people.
Main Purpose of the Job
As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for helping to provide and maintain a safe, clean, positive environment for our students who learn and live at Brook View School. You will work as part of a team to ensure that offices and classroom areas are cleaned to a high standard, following health and safety policies and requirements.
We are looking for someone who can work independently with a positive and proactive approach to achieving high standards of cleanliness. We seek a self-motivated, flexible, and efficient individual who takes pride in their work and understands their important role.
No specific experience is required; however, some knowledge of COSHH, health and safety in the workplace, and/or previous cleaning experience would be advantageous.
We Are Looking For a Cleaner Who Is
* Able to work independently with a positive and proactive approach to cleanliness.
* Self-motivated, flexible, and efficient, taking pride in their work and understanding their role within the school.
* Flexible, organized, motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude.
* Good communication skills.
* Able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.
* Capable of using domestic and professional cleaning equipment such as powered floor polishers, vacuum cleaners, etc.
Responsibilities include stripping and making beds, cleaning rooms as needed, including toilets, showers, stairways, lobbies, windows, paintwork, corridors, outside steps, and removing all litter and waste to outside bins.
You will always be responsible for your own and others' health and safety.
