Are you passionate about using sport to inspire young people and help them unlock their potential? Join our team and make a real difference in the lives of learners who need it most.
Many of our pupils arrive having faced challenges in traditional education settings and may feel disengaged or lacking in confidence. As a teacher at this school, you will have the opportunity to build trusting relationships, develop resilience, and support young people to succeed both in school and in life.
We are looking for committed professionals who are keen to develop as trauma informed practitioners. You will be supported to tailor your teaching to meet individual needs and to create an environment where young people feel safe, valued and understood. This role would suit someone who believes in the power of physical education and sport as a vehicle for positive change.
About this School
This School is seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting vulnerable young people and helping them achieve meaningful educational and personal outcomes.
We are a secondary school teaching students aged 11 to 18, all of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans. Our pupils have social, emotional and mental health needs, and many have experienced significant challenges in their lives. At this school, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Through use of small class sizes (maximum 4 students) we build real connections with the young people we support. We use positive behaviour support and emotion coaching to help young people feel safe, understood and ready to learn. Our approach is trauma-informed and restorative, ensuring that pupils are supported with consistency, empathy and high expectations.
Preparing young people for adulthood is central to our work. We are proud of the positive outcomes our pupils achieve, and we are looking for an English teacher who shares our belief that every young person deserves the chance to succeed, grow and thrive.
