Our client, a leading independent UK equity brokerage is looking to hire a junior Corporate Broker / Sales professional to support and execute capital raises for UK-listed SMID and micro-cap companies (typically £50m–£300m market capitalisation). The business operates as part of a broader global capital platform, providing deep investor access, institutional-grade infrastructure and international reach, while retaining the agility and earnings potential of a specialist boutique. The focus is firmly on UK public markets, with all clients listed in London. This is a front-office, revenue-generating role, working closely with senior partners who lead on transaction structuring and execution. The successful candidate will play a key role in investor engagement, capital raising and relationship development across the UK SMID ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Support the origination and execution of UK equity fundraisings for listed SMID companies Attend and participate in management meetings alongside senior partners Actively engage with UK and international small-cap investors, including HNW individuals, family offices and funds Develop and maintain long-term investor relationships, with the opportunity to build and grow a personal book Regularly speak with investors to understand demand, preferences and market appetite Represent corporate clients to the investment community in a clear, credible and commercial manner This role does not involve research production or trading. It is a pure corporate broking and capital markets position. Role Requirements: 2–4 years’ experience in a relevant front-office or client-facing role Backgrounds of interest include: Corporate broking or equity sales Capital access or investor relations Small-cap analytics, PR or communications Independent or boutique investment firms A working understanding of UK SMID public markets is essential Commercial, articulate and confident dealing with senior management and investors Highly motivated, ambitious and comfortable operating in a performance-led environment Resilient and adaptable, with an understanding of the cyclical nature of capital markets Existing investor relationships are advantageous but not essential Candidates must have the right to work in the UK Candidates from large, highly structured bulge-bracket environments are unlikely to be a fit.
