Section Engineer - Major Highway Project - Cornwall
Randstad C&P are recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer to join a major highway project in Cornwall. This is a contract role offering a competitive rate and the opportunity to work on a challenging project within a leading construction company.
Minimum 4-month contract duration
Outside IR35 subject to IR35 assessment
Responsibilities:
Review and manage drainage plans and specifications.
Conduct material take-offs and prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Engage with the site team for resource requirements.
Manage setting out operations utilizing GPS and Total Station technology.
Maintain daily documentation and quality assurance checks.
Conduct site inspections and safety assessments.
Mentor junior staff and foster effective team relationships.
Essential Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years' experience in civil engineering.
Relevant CSCS card and SSSTS/SMSTS certification.* Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team.
Must be able to obtain a highways passport, or already hold one.* Must hold a safety critical medical.
