This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planning professional to take the next step in their career within a respected consultancy environment, working across a varied portfolio of projects including residential, rural, commercial, and strategic land developments. You will play a key role in managing planning applications from inception through to determination, providing clear and commercially focused planning advice to a wide range of clients including landowners, developers, and private individuals. The Role Managing a range of planning applications and appeals Preparing planning appraisals and development strategies Undertaking detailed planning policy analysis Preparing Planning Statements, Design & Access Statements, and supporting documentation Liaising with Local Planning Authorities, consultees, and stakeholders Attending site visits, client meetings, and planning committees where required Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team Requirements RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or related discipline MRTPI qualified (or working towards Chartership) Previous experience within a private consultancy or local authority environment Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and development management Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach Benefits Competitive salary Hybrid working Pension scheme Professional fees paid Ongoing CPD and career progression opportunities Exposure to a diverse and high-quality project portfolio If you're a Senior Town Planner looking to join a forward-thinking consultancy offering genuine progression and project variety, we would be keen to hear from you.
