Role Overview
As a Floor Manager at JD Sports, you play a key role in driving strong shop‑floor performance and delivering the JD service our customers expect. You lead by example — supporting your team, keeping standards high, and ensuring the floor runs smoothly every shift. Working closely with the management team, you help drive sales, boost customer engagement, and maintain a clean, organised, and high‑performing store environment. This role requires confident, hands‑on leadership, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to motivate your team to deliver their best.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver outstanding JD service standards, ensuring every customer receives fast, friendly, and professional support.
* Drive commercial performance through effective shop‑floor execution, including merchandising, replenishment, and motivating the team.
* Lead and develop colleagues to maintain high performance, strong engagement, and consistent adherence to JD policies and processes.
* Support day‑to‑day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining a clean, organised shop‑floor environment.
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous supervisory experience in a fast‑paced retail or customer‑facing environment.
* Strong communication and leadership skills with proven experience supporting and developing team members.
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to uphold high operational and visual standards.
* Solid commercial awareness with an understanding of how daily actions contribute to store KPIs and performance.
