We're working exclusively with a successful, privately owned business with an SME sub £10 million TO Company, who are now looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Manager to take full ownership of the finance function as a standalone finance role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-rounded finance professional who's comfortable working independently and enjoys overseeing all areas of the accounts process, from transactional finance through to month-end reporting.
The Role
As the standalone Accounts Manager, you will report directly to the Board/Directors and be responsible for managing the day-to-day finances of the business. This is a hands-on role with a broad remit, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and autonomy in their work.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports
* Accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register and journals
* Working closely with external accountants and auditors
* Managing all aspects of the purchase and sales ledger
* Bank and credit card reconciliations
* Credit control duties and dealing with debtor reports
* Performing bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow
* Petty cash and expenses management
* Preparing and submitting VAT/CIS returns
* Other adhoc duties
