Job Summary
Driver needed initially to work 1-2 days per week with opportunity to work full time work later. Multi drop experience preferred in collections throughout the North East from donators of charity bags of clothing and bric-a-brac to our base in Washington.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate delivery vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
* Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding picking up and delivery schedules and any potential issues.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
* Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with customers upon pickup of charity bags of clothing and brick-a-brac.
* Assist in warehouse operations as needed, contributing to a team-oriented environment.
Experience
* Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is essential.
* Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial for understanding logistics operations.
