This is an exciting time to be joining Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust to grow our audiences and engage with new supporters, as we celebrate our triple anniversary, 30 years of Rutland Ospreys, 50 years of Rutland Water and 70 years of Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust, looking ahead to the future of growth and more action for nature recovery.
Reporting to the Fundraising and Marketing Manager, you will be working collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust to manage our communications, develop our online presence, deliver plans to support our fundraising and membership activity, and help develop supporter journeys.
We are looking for:
An experienced communicator you have excellent communication skills and can draw information and ideas out of others.
Strong digital skills you have experience in design, social media, website development and database/CRM systems, with a creative and imaginative approach.
A dynamic individual - who is able to build relationships across different areas of an organisation, and responds quickly to varied activities and changing conditions.
A passion for wildlife - an interest in working for a nature conservation charity whose mission is to protect wildlife and create a wilder future for people and nature across Leicestershire and Rutland
KEY TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Flexible working will be required to include occasional evenings and weekends. Payment for overtime worked in excess of the standard working week is not available, but time off in lieu may be taken by prior arrangement with line managers.
Leave: Annual leave entitlement is 25 days plus statutory public holidays per annum.
Pension : The Trust operates an Auto-enrolment Pension Scheme and pays an employer contribution of up to 7% of gross salary contingent on a 50% matching contribution from the employee.
Death in Service : Cover is provided at three times annual salary.
Training: A training budget is allocated to this post and on-the-job training will be given.
Travel : Trust vehicles will be used, if available, otherwise the standard Trust mileage rate will be payable for the business use of the post-holders private car.
Probation period : A probationary period of six months applies, during which new employees are expected to demonstrate their suitability for the post.
