About your role
As a Finance Assistant at Iris Care Group, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our accounting processes. You will work closely with the finance team to maintain financial records, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
Role Responsibilities
12. Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
13. Assist in Month-End Closing: Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting in financial statement preparation.
14. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, verify expenses, and ensure timely payments to vendors. Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding balances, and facilitate collections as needed.
15. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and ensure discrepancies are addressed in a timely manner.
16. Support Audits: Assist in the coordination of internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules, gathering documentation, and addressing auditor inquiries.
17. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance controls within the finance function.
Qualifications and Requirements
18. 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
19. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
20. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
21. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
22. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
23. Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements would be an advantage but not essential.
