The Vacancy
Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity
We're excited to offer a brand-new opportunity for a Product Governance Analyst to join our Risk & Control team in Property Product & Development.
Our Product team is at the heart of what we do, crafting the range of products we bring to market and making sure they meet real customer needs. While we're known as a specialist lender, we see that as an opportunity to think differently; to design smart solutions for customers who don't always fit the standard mould. It's our mission to spot these gaps in the market, develop fresh products and features, and stay ahead of competitor trends to help drive our growth ambitions.
As a Product Governance Analyst, you'll play a key role in supporting these ambitions - making sure the products and services we offer are compliant, deliver fair value, and truly meet the needs of our target market segments. This is your chance to help shape and guide our property products - both new and existing - ensuring they align with the latest Consumer Duty guidelines while staying focused on what matters most: the customer.
What will your day look like?
* Pulling together monthly Consumer Duty dashboards to go in the Risk Committee packs, adding clear commentary to highlight any trends or risks that might need flagging or action.
* Helping out with yearly product reviews, Fair Value Assessments, and other checks on things like Fees, Charges, and Early Repayment Charges (ERCs).
* Getting stuck into the new taxonomy risk & control self-assessment (RCSA) rollout - mapping processes, updating the RiskConnect system, and working with teams across the business to review, update, and keep RCSAs on track. Also helping with RCSA sign-offs and supporting any issue management along the way.
* Taking ownership of any product-related risk events, making sure they're raised properly, tracked, and dealt with on time so nothing slips through the cracks.
* Keeping an eye on control test fails and risk event issues - digging into the detail, making sure the fixes actually sort the problem, chasing things up when needed, and making sure these get fully resolved. Also making sure everything links back to the RCSA.
* Spotting patterns and trends - looking closely at data and reports to check that actions are being followed through, lessons are learned, and we keep improving (covering things like risk events, COT, KCT, etc).
* Always on the lookout for new ways to use our data to make non-financial risk management sharper, more focused, and more effective.
What do we expect from you?
* Excellent analytical skills, with proven ability to spot patterns and trends from reports and data.
* Microsoft Visio skills - able to create process maps and visually represent complex information or processes in a clear, structured way.
* Highly organised, self-motivated and capable of meeting tight time scales in a demanding and continuously changing environment
* Keen interest in the property/ mortgage market and competitors and making this applicable to Aldermore. Solid understanding of the requirements from conduct and regulatory perspective
* Strong communication and presentation skills with high attention to detail - able to absorb, retain and communicate knowledge and information relating to a constantly changing range of products in a simple way that is easy to understand
* Ability to build strong relationships with a number of different stakeholders
What can you expect from us?
* A friendly and flexible culture. Hybrid working model - 2 days a week in the office
* A growing organisation that means there's lots of opportunities to progress
* A drive for continuous improvement, which you will be empowered to get behind from day one.
* And of course, you will be rewarded competitively, with a good range of core benefits and bonus potential.

The Company
We champion equality by supporting the exceptions to the rule and getting finance to where it's needed.
We lend the money people save with us, to people who want to get on in life; build businesses and create employment, buy property for people to live and work in, and purchase vehicles to move families and goods around.
Behaviour Framework
Our behavioural framework underpins our purpose and strategic drivers, as it outlines the behaviours we need to demonstrate in order to succeed. Where our strategic drivers (Stay Ahead Propositions, Relationships That Last and Progressive Platform) outline what we need to do to succeed, our behaviours guide us in how. In your second interview, we'll ask you to talk through some examples where you've demonstrated these behaviours in your previous roles.
