Science Teacher – Location: Burnley. Contract: Full-time, Long-term. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30/4:00pm. Start Date: ASAP or negotiable. Pay: Dependent on skills and experience.
A specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Burnley is looking to appoint a passionate and resilient Science Teacher for a full-time, long-term position. This role is ideal for someone with strong behaviour management skills and a genuine commitment to re-engaging young learners who may have become disengaged from education. The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire, motivate and make a lasting impact on students who require additional support to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities

* Deliver engaging Science lessons to students with SEMH needs, following required curricula and schemes of work.
* Manage behaviour effectively to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
* Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs and track progress.
Qualifications
* Experience teaching Science (QTS, QTLS, or equivalent is desirable).
* Strong behaviour management strategies.
* A passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
* Patience, resilience, and the ability to build trust with learners.
* A proactive and flexible approach to teaching and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
