About The Role:
We’re thrilled to be mobilising a new contract at Teesside Shopping Centre and are now recruiting to build an exceptional team!
Location: Teesside Shopping Centre, TS17 7BW
Shift Pattern: Varied shift pattern ranging between the hours of 6:30am and 10pm. Weekends will be required.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Duty Manager to oversee our security, cleaning and customer services teams on site. You will be responsible for leading a dynamic team across a sprawling 130-acre outdoor retail destination whilst developing your management career with comprehensive training.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage and inspire teams in delivering Security, Cleaning and customer services.
* Operational duty management of soft services for Teesside Park and successful management, coordination and delivery of the contract related to onsite cleaning, security, maintenance and reception.
* Ensure high level service delivery across all operation provision including security, cleaning, maintenance and customer service, being flexible to meet the changing operational needs on a continual basis; this is a salaried role which also requires a need to be on call. Suggest new initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and best practice are delivered.
* Manage sickness and absence following the correct company protocol, managing cover as and when needed.
* Conduct interviews and oversee the onboarding of new employees, including site inductions.
* Continually monitor and evaluate the performance of the team to ensure the required standards of delivery are met.
* Carry out Health & Safety / pre-open / close patrols across all areas of the site.
* Manage and implement cleaning schedules, and completion of weekly cleaning audits.
* Ensure correct usage of cleaning materials in line with COSHH regulations, ensuring minimal waste and sufficient stocks are always maintained.
Key Hiring Criteria
* SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV Licences are preferred; however, for the right candidate, training can be provided.
* CCTV licence is advantageous but can be funded and trained for the successful individual.
* Experience in leading teams with confidence of leading a team of circa 10 employees ranging from cleaning, waste and security controllers.
* Experience working within a retail environment is advantageous.
* Previous experience working within security at a senior level is essential.
* Cleaning experience is desirable as you will be responsible for both the security and cleaning teams.
* Knowledge of H&S and HR legislation.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills both written and verbal.
* Ability to work in a demanding environment.
* Competency with Microsoft packages including Teams, Excel and Word.
