Job Title: Business Support Assistant (Admin & Clerical) Location: Holles Street Short Breaks Service, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, S80 2LJ Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour (PAYE) Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Initial Contract Type: Temporary – 13 weeks (with possible extension) Start Date: 1st December 2025 Employer: Nottinghamshire County Council About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and organised Business Support Assistant to join the Holles Street Short Breaks Service team in Worksop. This service provides short breaks for adults with learning disabilities and forms part of Nottinghamshire County Council’s dedicated support network. The successful candidate will provide essential business and administrative support to the team and play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities: * Act as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, including parents, carers, health professionals, and Adult Care workers. * Deliver excellent customer service and maintain confidentiality at all times. * Handle financial tasks such as budget monitoring, petty cash management, and payment recording. * Manage booking requests, confirmations, and service attendance records. * Maintain accurate electronic systems and process staff-related payments, travel claims, and absences through payroll. * Produce reports, compile statistics, and provide management information when required. * Work independently and support the wider team efficiently. Requirements: * Strong administrative and organisational skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and spreadsheets. * Ability to manage financial records accurately. * Commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Health & Safety principles. * Previous experience in an administrative, business support, or office-based role preferred.
