Castle Retirement Village Berkhamsted are seeking applications for hospitality staff for our restaurant & bistro.
These are ideal roles for people looking to earn some additional income, working a few hours per week in a busy, pleasant environment.
* Friday evenings – 5.30pm to 9.30pm
* Sunday midday – 11.30am to 3.30pm
* Various functions
Various shifts can be worked but we will need a commitment to six shifts per month please, with rotas prepared a month in advance. Employment process includes right to work, proof of address and reference checks and remuneration is through company payroll. Hospitality or service experience is ideal, along with a kind and respectful attitude.
Our restaurant is the social hub where residents come together to savour delightful meals and create cherished memories. We are on the lookout for a Front of House assistant who can add a touch of warmth, and hospitality to our residents' dining experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Welcome and Delight: Greet residents with a warm and welcoming smile, ensuring they feel cherished and valued as soon as they enter our bistro.
* Assist and Serve: Take residents' orders, deliver delicious meals, and provide impeccable service with attention to detail, making their dining experience exceptional.
* Create a Home Away from Home: Foster a cozy and inviting atmosphere that feels like home, complete with a friendly and inviting ambiance.
* Build Relationships: Develop meaningful connections with our residents, getting to know their preferences, dietary needs, and personal stories.
* Collaborate: Work alongside a fantastic team dedicated to making every resident's day a little brighter.
* Celebrate Special Moments: Be part of birthday celebrations, holiday feasts, and special events where we create memories together.
Requirements
* A genuine love for serving and making people happy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature.
* Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a dynamic environment.
* Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is a plus, but not mandatory.
* An understanding of the unique needs and expectations of our senior residents.
