Market Risk Change Analyst – Financial Services (12-Month Contract)Location: London Contract: 12 monthsWe are seeking an experienced Risk Change Analyst to join a leading financial services organisation on a 12-month contract. This role sits within a dynamic risk and change function, supporting the delivery of strategic initiatives and enhancements to risk management frameworks. This would suit a consultant used to working at early stages of a programme.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the delivery and testing of business requirements for technology and change initiatives
2. Assist in the production of change management artefacts, project documentation, and programme reporting
3. Contribute to the definition and enhancement of risk methodologies, including impact analysis and regulatory approval support
4. Support the development of target operating models, including risk frameworks, vision, and strategy
5. Ensurepliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards
6. Participate fully in audits, investigations, and reporting requirements
7. Continuously develop professional knowledge and capabilities within risk and change disciplines
Skills & Experience Required
8. Strong experience in risk management within a financial institution, ideally with exposure to: Risk margin methodologies ( SPAN, VaR)
9. Solid understanding of core risk management principles, including: Back testingStress testingProduct valuation
10. Proven experience delivering change in a risk environment, including: Requirements gathering and documentationTesting support (UAT, system testing)
11. Good knowledge of project delivery and change frameworks, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Desirable Qualifications
12. Professional risk certifications (or working towards), such as CFA or FRM
13. Change management/project certifications ( Agile, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
