Building Services Engineer - Plumber
Location: Rochdale
Hours: 37.5 per week (Mon-Fri, 6:00am-7:00pm)
Salary: £35,000 + Van & benefits
What you'll do
1. Provide high-quality plumbing maintenance across commercial buildings
2. Deliver both reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
3. Repair leaks, blockages, pipework, valves, taps, and sanitary fittings
4. Maintain water systems, drainage, external areas, and plant rooms
5. Respond to emergency call-outs and participate in an on-call rota
6. Ensure compliance with health & safety, water hygiene, and statutory regulations
7. Accurately log all tasks, time, and materials using the client's CAFM system
8. Support minor installations, refurbishments, and upgrade works
9. Liaise with contractors and issue permits to work when required
What you'll need
10. City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
11. Proven experience within a commercial or FM environment
12. Good knowledge of water regulations and Legionella controls
13. Strong communication skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
15. Full UK driving licence and willingness to obtain DBS clearance
