Bank Clinical Nurse Specialist – Gynaecology Birmingham: The Harborne Hospital Bank Contract Salary: Bank rates We’re looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist – Gynaecology to join our expert team at The Harborne Hospital, on a Bank Contract As a Bank Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their journey, from pre-diagnosis through treatment and recovery. You will be a consistent point of contact, ensuring patients feel well-supported as they navigate different parts of the hospital to receive optimal care. You will: Provide expert clinical, educational, and psychological support to patients and their families. Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT), including oncologists, breast surgeons, radiologists, and consultant pathologists. Attend MDT meetings, share recommendations with consultants, and ensure continuity of care by linking with other healthcare professionals both within the hospital and in the community. Offer support before, during, and after surgery, and cover clinics Monday to Friday. What you’ll bring: NMC registration Extensive relevant post registration experience in Gynaecology Mentoring /Teaching experience Experience in managing complex and difficult emotional situations in the clinical context Knowledge of current clinical advances and pathways of care relevant to Gynaecology Evidence of continuous professional development in clinical area.
