Are you the right person for the job?
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a relevant construction discipline
Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the UK construction industry
Experience leading, managing, or mentoring QS teams
Strong commercial and contractual understanding (NEC and JCT)
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
Proactive, organised, and confident working on fast‑paced, technically complex projects
Able to influence both internal and external stakeholders at a senior level
What will your role look like?
Lead and manage the commercial aspects of multiple M&E projects from tender through to final account
Provide commercial leadership, guidance, and mentoring to a team of Quantity Surveyors
Oversee cost planning, financial tracking, value engineering, and risk management
Prepare, negotiate, and agree valuations, variations, and contractual claims
Work closely with operations, engineering, procurement, and finance teams
Manage subcontractor procurement, assessment, and payment processes
Produce accurate forecasts, margin reports, and commercial updates for senior leadership
Drive continuous improvement of commercial processes and systems
Support client relationship management and contribute to strategic business development
