As a CNC Lathe and Turning Machine Tool Setter/Programmer, you will play a crucial role in setting up and operating various machine tools to craft precision parts and instruments. Your responsibilities will include: - Setting up, adjusting, and operating basic or specialized machine tools for precision machining. - Aligning fixtures, tools, and materials on machines. - Monitoring machine feed and speed during operations. - Interpreting technical instructions and drawings. - Inspecting finished products for defects and conformance to specifications using precision measuring tools. - Maintaining equipment through cleaning and minor repairs. To excel in this position, you should have: - Proven experience as a Lathe and Turning Machine Tool Setter/Programmer. - Ability to interpret technical instructions and drawings. - Knowledge of Star and/or Mazak machines is advantageous. - Proficiency in metal properties and precision measurement tools. - Mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations. - Independence, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities. - Familiarity with safety standards and procedures. - Willingness to work shifts if needed.
