Role: Production Supervisor

Hours: Full time
Salary: £15.00-17.00ph
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Production Supervisor to join our clients successful team.
Duties of a Paint Line Operative:
1. Ensure correct tooling, materials, and resources are available for each job.
2. Monitor progress and adjust schedules or staffing as required.
3. Liaise with other departments (e.g., design, engineering, stores, quality) to resolve issues and maintain efficiency.
4. Supervise and support teams across the Punch and Folding departments.
5. Allocate daily tasks, set priorities, and ensure production targets are met.
6. Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
7. Identify training needs and support skill development across all fabrication areas.
8. Promote a positive, safe, and productive working environment.
What we would like from you:
9. Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of CNC punch press operation, press brake setup/programming.
10. Fabrication Experience: Typically 3–5 years of experience in metal fabrication, with hands?on knowledge of sheet?metal processes.
11. Leadership Ability: Experience supervising or leading a team in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
12. Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and fabrication instructions.
13. Quality & Measurement Skills: Competent use of measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, angle finders, and inspection tools.
14. Problem?Solving: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot fabrication and machine issues.
15. Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and enforcing safety standards.
16. Physical Requirements: Ability to handle materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast?paced production environment.
17. Software Knowledge: Familiarity with CNC interfaces, CAM software, or fabrication programming tools is beneficial.
18. Adaptability: Willingness to learn new processes, support cross?training, and contribute to continuous improvement.
