Business: Cornwall Gold, Cornish Pantry Restaurant
Contract type: Full-time, permanent, 7‑day operation, no evenings
Salary £35,000 with an achievable bonus structure.
Cornwall Gold is seeking an experienced Head Chef with a proven background in high‑volume and fast‑paced fresh food to join the Cornish Pantry Restaurant. We operate with a small well motivated and supported team. The kitchen is well equipped and well maintained.
Responsibilities
· Must be hands on and capable of delivering consistent, delicious, freshly prepared dishes for brunch and lunch.
· Thrive under pressure and be able to organise the kitchen and deal with high volume at peak times.
· Lead and nurture team to create a calm, organised and well prepared kitchen.
· We operate one menu throughout the FS Group with a focus on local produce in each site, spec sheets are available and to be adhered too. You have absolute autonomy of specials.
· Level 3 food hygiene preferred (we can provide if expired) as well as allergen awareness, HACCAP and all safer food better business guidelines must be followed (we expect a 5 star rating)
About You
· This is an extremely busy venue during peak season, you will need to be calm self motivated and have a real passion for fresh well presented food.
· A natural organiser who understands prep systems, batch cooking, efficient station setup and service flow.
· Confident in leading a small team while remaining hands‑on in all areas of the kitchen.
· High standards of cleanliness, food quality, speed, and consistency.
· Available to work weekends and public holidays as part of our seven‑day operation. No evening work required.
· Motvited to build on the success of the Cornish Pantry Restaurantand grow with our business.
