Overview
Vanbrugh Group are assisting a main contractor to recruit a Resident Liaison Officer (RLO). The company is a leading and highly respected local authority refurbishment contractor operating in the Kent region. Following continued expansion through repeat business they have secured long term, guaranteed work in Canterbury and surrounding areas. The works form part of the SHDF (Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund) and primarily involve energy efficiency measures such as improving insulation, installing heat pumps, and solar panels in order to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions in social housing properties.
As a Resident Liaison Officer, you will be the point of contact for residents while work is undertaken at their homes. Clear and efficient liaison between residents and the site construction teams is essential.
Responsibilities
* Act as the primary contact for residents during construction works and ensure clear communication between residents and site teams.
* Coordinate and support day-to-day resident liaison activities to minimise disruption and maintain housing standards.
* Assist in scheduling and planning activities related to energy efficiency works under SHDF funding.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Must have working experience in a customer services environment, ideally with a housing association, construction or maintenance organisation.
* Must have good experience of working autonomously in a busy environment and delivering to strict deadlines.
* Good organisational, scheduling and planning skills.
* Good interpersonal skills; must enjoy working with people on a personal level, and be approachable, tactful and diplomatic.
* Good communication skills; must be able to communicate very confidently both verbally and in writing.
* Ability to work on your own initiative, and as part of a team.
