JOB TITLE: COMPLIANCE ANALYST

DEPARTMENT: GOVERNANCE

LOCATION:Marble Arch, London(Hybrid – 4 days in office)

REPORTING TO: Director of Governance

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent

THE ROLE

The role sits within the wider Governance function alongside the Data Privacy and Secretariat and reports to the Director of Governance. The wider team is a crucial part of the business and works with all business areas.

The role will involve undertaking customer and transaction risk assessments to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering regulations and legislation. The role will also be involved in the wider areas of compliance, including Anti-Fraud and Anti-Bribery & Corruption.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

1. Third party screening including sanctions, PEP status and adverse media – monitoring screening reports and investigating discrepancies.
2. Performing customer due diligence.
3. Carrying out customer risk assessments.
4. Carrying out transaction risk assessments.

ABOUT YOU

You will have:

5. experience of working in compliance in a large organisation and creating a culture of best practice adherence to anti-financial crime legislation in particular;
6. experience of undertaking customer and transaction risk assessments in relation to anti-money laundering compliance;
7. experience of carrying out customer due diligence;
8. a good understanding of the legal and regulatory rules concerning anti-financial crime compliance and an understanding of how they would apply to an organisation such as British Land;
9. a proven ability to assess complex scenarios in order to give high-quality advice and identify pragmatic solutions;
10. excellent writing skills and the ability to present complex information with attention to detail;
11. the ability to use own initiative and manage multiple tasks with minimum supervision;
12. the ability to work to deadlines and deliver at pace;
13. the ability to quickly establish personal credibility and to develop and maintain effective relationships, including working with areas of the business unfamiliar with anti-financial crime compliance processes;
14. excellent teamwork skills;
15. the ability to deal appropriately with confidential information; and
16. good experience of using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
