Offer description

Join the Three Bridges Care Family – Where Heart Meets Purpose (and Pancakes)

Senior Children's Residential Support Worker

Are you the kind of person who brings calm to chaos, laughs even during the tough shifts, and never underestimates the power of a bedtime story or a kitchen dance-off? Do you believe every young person deserves a home filled with warmth, safety, and people who show up – every single time?

If you're nodding (and maybe smiling a little), keep reading – you might be the next superstar we're looking for at Three Bridges Care.

We're not just here to "provide care" – we show up like it matters, because it does. We're a tight-knit crew of big-hearted humans walking alongside children and young people (ages 7–17) through some seriously brave, seriously tough stuff – trauma, anxiety, mental health challenges, you name it. And we need more champions in their corner. Enter: you.

You Get Back What You Give

As a Senior Support Worker, you'll be one of the real MVPs of the home – making sure the day-to-day flows with as few hiccups as possible while helping create the kind of environment where young people feel safe, supported, and seen. You'll also be there for your team – leading the way when things get tricky and stepping up when the management team isn't around.

We need someone who can build solid, respectful connections with young people and support colleagues with a good dose of humour, patience, and leadership. Emotional resilience? Yep. A kind heart? Absolutely. The ability to inspire others just by being your authentic self? That's what we're all about.

What You'll Actually Do (aka How You'll Change Lives Every Day)

This is not your average 9–5. This is meaningful, messy, magical work – and no two days are the same. You'll be:

* Creating a homely, loving space where young people feel safe (bonus points if you make epic toasties )
* Doing the school run, having heart-to-hearts, and navigating everything from laughter to meltdowns
* Being a calming presence when emotions run high
* Supporting wellbeing, school attendance, life goals – and the occasional spontaneous living-room disco
* Helping residential support staff build confidence and skills
* Keeping paperwork up to date (yes, that part matters too)
* Attending meetings (yes, boss)
* Most importantly: being a rock for kids who need one

Who We're Looking For

We'll sort the training – what we really want is someone who's:

* A natural leader with great emotional intelligence
* Honest, dependable, and great at keeping calm when things get stormy
* Ready to grow, open to learning, and always up for a challenge
* Supportive of others, with a big heart and an even bigger sense of humour

If you've worked as a senior in residential care, youth work, or anything similar – amazing. If you've got (or want to work towards) an NVQ Level 3 or 4 or 5 in Residential Childcare – even better.

A manual driving license? Super handy. UK residency for 3+ years? Required.

The Basics (aka What You Need to Know)

* 12 hour shifts, plus some waking nights (20:00–08:00) and or sleepovers
* You'll need a clear enhanced DBS and the right to work in the UK
* We're proudly inclusive – all backgrounds, cultures, and identities welcome

What's In It for You (Besides Being Amazing)

* 252 hours of annual leave (yep, about 5.5 weeks)
* Extra days off at your 2-year and 5-year milestones
* Your birthday off – no questions asked
* Fully funded Level 4 or 5 Diploma after probation
* 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme – for any kind of life stuff
* Pension plan and optional health cover
* Access to Bright Exchange – think discounts, perks, and surprises
* £50 Team Member of the Month bonus (you're gonna want that crown )
* Refer-a-Friend bonus – bring your best people
* Ongoing training, PACE, clinical support, and real opportunities to grow
* And best of all – a workplace that feels like home (but with better snacks)

If your gut's saying this feels right, we'd really love to meet you.
