A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Deputy Care Home Manager to work in an exceptional care home based in Lowestoft, Suffolk. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers.
This is a modern, luxury, well-equipped care home providing the highest standards of care and support in a very homely and comfortable environment. To be considered for this position you must hold a NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
Key responsibilities
* Support the Care Home Manager in daily operations and assume delegated duties in their absence
* Lead and supervise care staff, ensuring high:quality, person:centred care aligned with residents care plans
* Monitor residents well:being, adjust care plans, and manage medication
* Oversee staff performance, training, and development, conducting appraisals and mentoring
* Act as safeguarding lead in the Manager’s absence, reporting concerns and ensuring compliance with policies
* Ensure adherence to health, safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
* Maintain communication with residents, families, and external professionals
* Promote a positive work environment and encourage resident social engagement
Preferred skills & experience
* Previous Deputy Home Manager experience
* The ability to engage with the service users to understand their needs in order to provide excellent services of care
* Ability to identify referral pathway for safeguarding adults/abuse
* Good working knowledge of CQC standards
* The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors and staffing team
* Ability to promote ownership of care programmes by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programmes within the home
The successful Deputy Care Home Manager will receive an excellent salary of GBP14.70 per hour and an annual salary of GBP30,576 per annum. This permanent full‑time role is for 40 hours per week from 9am to 5pm.
