Regional Therapy Assistant
Location: Regional - multiple service locations
Salary: Competitive
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (flexible working required)
Reporting to: Therapeutic Practitioners / Therapy Team
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Regional Therapy Assistant to work across several service locations, supporting our Therapeutic Practitioners in delivering high-quality, person-centred therapeutic assessments and interventions.
The role focuses on improving quality of life and supporting positive outcomes for service users, while promoting Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Active Support within Careline services.
You will work under indirect supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing practical therapeutic support in the services.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Therapeutic Support
* Support the delivery of therapeutic intervention plans within your level of competence
* Assist service users to work towards their personal goals and aspirations
* Support access to hydrotherapy programmes as directed by Physiotherapists
* Monitor hydrotherapy pool availability and readiness for sessions
* Plan, organise, and deliver therapeutic group activities and events
* Maintain accurate records and documentation for all therapeutic activities
* Manage therapy equipment stock and complete audits in line with company procedures
* Support PBS Practitioners with behavioural incident reviews, trend analysis, and post-incident reviews
* Deliver additional funded therapy input as directed by Therapeutic Practitioners
* Support service users to access community-based therapeutic activities, including driving company vehicles
Communication & Documentation
* Build professional, respectful relationships with service users and their families
* Communicate in an accessible and culturally sensitive manner
* Complete behavioural observations, professional contacts, and intervention records
* Develop strong observation and listening skills to support assessments and interventions
* Contribute to care plans, including behaviour support plans
* Work confidently within a multidisciplinary team
* Attend and contribute to internal and external MDT meetings
* Act as a point of contact for families and external professionals when required
* Complete regular reports on therapeutic provision and outcomes
Education, Training & Development
* Participate in regular supervision and appraisals
* Reflect on your practice and identify development needs
* Complete required training and maintain accurate training records
* Assist with the preparation and delivery of training sessions and person-centred formulation sessions
General Responsibilities

* Work independently while recognising when to seek support
* Maintain health, safety, and safeguarding standards at all times
* Adhere to confidentiality and data protection requirements
* Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong time management
* Be flexible with working hours to meet service needs
* Adhere to the Code of Conduct for Social Care Workers (Skills for Care)
About You
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or willing to attain
* Working with people with physical disabilities, mental health issues or special needs and older people
* At least 2 years' experience of working with people with behaviours of concern.
* Qualification in or knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support, or willing to obtain.
* Good standard of written and spoken English
* Current driving licence and ability to drive company vehicles
You will be organised, caring, and committed to supporting people to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. Experience in health, social care, or therapeutic settings is desirable, along with a willingness to travel between locations.
