About the Role As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a crucial part in keeping lessons running smoothly when teachers are absent. You won’t be expected to plan lessons—your job is to guide students through the work provided and maintain a positive, productive atmosphere. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Overseeing classes of secondary-aged pupils Delivering pre-set lesson materials Encouraging engagement and supporting pupils where needed Managing behaviour in line with school policies Creating a calm and structured learning environment Every school day is different, and no two lessons feel the same—making this a fantastic way to gain real insight into life in the classroom.
