About SEStran
SEStran is one of seven Regional Transport Partnerships in Scotland, covering the City of Edinburgh, Clackmannanshire, East Lothian, Falkirk, Fife, Midlothian, Scottish Borders, and West Lothian. Our Regional Transport Strategy (RTS) sets out a clear vision for a connected, efficient, and accessible transport network that supports economic growth, sustainability, and healthier communities.
The Role
As Senior Partnership Manager, you will:
1. Provide strategic and technical leadership in developing, planning, budgeting, monitoring, and implementing the RTS
2. Work closely with partner councils, planning authorities, City Deals, transport agencies, and other key stakeholders
3. Ensure the RTS vision is realised: a fully integrated transport system that is efficient, safe, inclusive, and contributes to net zero emissions targets
4. Report directly to the Partnership Director and play a leading role in partnership management and delivery
5. Provide effective line management and support for staff, including performance development, mentoring and fostering a positive team culture
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a candidate who can demonstrate:
6. Degree-level education and relevant professional qualification
7. Proven senior management experience in a local government environment
8. Thorough understanding of transport planning, policy and local government procurement
9. In-depth knowledge of the work of Regional Transport Partnerships
10. Strong track record of successful partnership working and stakeholder engagement
