Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, reliable and highly motivated individuals to join our busy Radiology department at Mid and South Essex University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, as a Band 3 imaging assistants. The role requires rotation through different areas of the department including CT, Ultrasound and MRI. You will also be required to rotate through our outlying Community Hospitals from time to time. Staff are required to contribute to the 24-hour service provided by the Radiology department. Nights are worked on rotation within a group of 10 staff.
Responsibilities
* Rotate through CT, Ultrasound and MRI.
* Rotate through outlying community hospitals.
* Contribute to the 24‑hour service.
* Work nights on rota with a group of 10 staff.
* Assist with minor sterile procedures, chaperoning, coordinating patient lists and preparing patients for their examinations.
* Provide support for the extended working week; commitment to work evenings and weekends is expected as part of core hours or additional out‑of‑hours.

Other Information
Please note no visa sponsorship is available for this role. The role of an imaging assistant is a clinical role; they provide support to a variety of staff groups including consultant radiologists, sonographers and radiographers across all imaging modalities. Our imaging assistants are required to provide support for the extended working week, therefore a commitment to work evenings and weekends is expected as part of core hours or as additional out‑of‑hours.
