We require an enthusiastic and flexible person to join our committed team of support staff. In addition, we are also keen to recruit a colleague who can provide flexible support in a wider range of roles and other duties could include supporting our Learning Resource Centre, creating resources in reprographics, contributing to school displays or supporting a subject they have specific skills or interests in. We are very welcome to hear candidates' own ideas regarding skills they could offer during times when cover supervision is not required.
Qualities required are firmness and patience, flexibility, good communication skills and the ability to relate to young people. Applicants should be literate and numerate with an education standard equating to GCSE Grade C in English and Maths, or equivalent NVQ level 2 or 3, or BTEC in Learning Support.
Please refer to the attached job description for more details about the role.

About our School
Set in a stunning location overlooking Bridport and the surrounding rolling hills, the Sir John Colfox Academy was built in 1999 and offers a lovely environment for staff to work in and where students can achieve their maximum potential.
‘Inspiring learners, Achieving Excellence is our aim’, and we are proud of our wonderful team of teaching and support staff who do their very best to bring this to life for all of our students.
Whilst we are very proud of our record of excellent exam results, and our recent ‘Good’ Ofsted rating, we believe a first class education is about much more than this, and aspire for all our students to have a school experience that gives them access to a wide range of extracurricular activities and cultural enrichment.
