Job Overview
The post holder will work with clinicians and nursing staff to provide a highly developed and effective outpatient and inpatient service for children with respiratory diseases. They will demonstrate strong communication, analytical and planning expertise, working autonomously and efficiently with children, parents/carers, and a variety of multidisciplinary teams across primary, secondary, tertiary and voluntary care settings. The post holder will travel between multiple sites and lead the development and delivery of the Community Diagnostic Centre pathways, including nurse‑led clinical aspects of the service. They will develop and deliver innovative, evidence‑based practice through professional leadership, supporting the clinical team to advance specialist respiratory care. The role includes contributing to the management of a quality and cost‑effective service and participating in paediatric respiratory education, research and audit programmes. The post holder is required to work as a Band 7 Children’s Respiratory Nurse across Royal Stoke and County Hospitals and Community Diagnostic Centre sites.
