Are you ready to power up your career? At Finning (UK) Ltd, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Service and Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic Power Rental team. You will play a crucial role in delivering electric power solutions across the UK and Ireland, ensuring our rental equipment is always in top-notch condition for our valued customers.
What You'll Do:
As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
* Inspecting, servicing, and maintaining rental equipment such as generators, fuel tanks, and load banks.
* Completing readiness checks for rental equipment and documenting inspections using the CAT inspection application.
* Setting up rental equipment according to customer requirements and project specifications.
* Troubleshooting technical issues and resolving them efficiently and safely.
* Leading site installations, including the commissioning and decommissioning of rental solutions.
* Adhering to Health & Safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Your Skills and Experience:
We are looking for someone who has:
* Completed an apprenticeship or holds an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering.
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the rental energy sector or a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
* Excellent analytical and communication skills to convey complex technical issues clearly.
* A valid driver’s license and a commitment to safety regulations.

Working Conditions:
This is a field-based role, and it’s essential that all candidates have held a full driving license for at least 2 years. Eligibility will be subject to a full DVLA license check.
