General Summary:
This position reports to the Accounting Manager or their designee and is located in Kannapolis, NC, USA. The Accounting Analyst plays a key role in the daily operations of the finance team, ensuring best practices in processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and general ledger transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Promote teamwork and effective communication to develop relationships across all personnel and departments.
2. Accounts Payable: Lead processes including vendor setup, invoice processing, resolving queries, statement reconciliations, and payments. Prepare mid-month and end-of-month payment proposals.
3. Accounts Receivable: Manage customer setup, invoicing, resolving queries, statements, and collections.
4. Treasury: Administer payments, record bank entries, reconcile statements, manage ledger entries, and perform account reconciliations.
5. Other duties: Support credit card and expense reporting, assist with ERP upgrades, prepare audit documentation, follow safety regulations, and perform other tasks as assigned.
Education and Work Experience:
College or university degree in Accounting with at least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
* Understanding of accounting processes and ability to articulate them.
* Experience with Microsoft D365 is preferred.
* Ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail, and in a team environment.
Equipment and Applications:
Computer with Microsoft Office suite, including D365.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment, with occasional travel, long hours, and physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds and manual dexterity. The environment includes machinery, race cars, rigs, and hazardous substances, requiring compliance with health and safety policies.
