As an IT Technician, you will provide high-quality first-line technical support to staff and students, helping to deliver an outstanding digital learning experience. Working as part of a collaborative IT service team, you will support a wide range of technologies, from classroom devices and AV equipment to cloud-based Microsoft 365 services.
You will be hands‑on, visible, and responsive, resolving issues quickly to minimise disruption to lessons and school operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver first-line support via the IT helpdesk, resolving incidents and service requests efficiently.
* Support classroom technology, including interactive displays, AV equipment, and teaching platforms.
* Install and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other devices.
* Manage user accounts in Active Directory / Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
* Assist with network support (Wi‑Fi, DNS, DHCP) and device deployments.
* Maintain IT assets, ensuring equipment is secure, up to date, and fit for purpose.
* Promote cyber security best practice and support safeguarding through appropriate monitoring.
* Work collaboratively with staff, students, and colleagues across the wider trust.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with a passion for IT support and excellent customer service skills. You will have:
* Knowledge of Windows 10/11, hardware troubleshooting, and Microsoft 365.
* Basic networking understanding (e.g. Wi‑Fi, DNS, DHCP).
* Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
* Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non‑technical users.
* A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
Experience in a school or education environment, familiarity with tools such as Intune, and relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Fundamentals or CompTIA) would be advantageous.

* This is a school based role, working within the school 5 day’s a week within core school house.
