Partnership Opportunity Available
We are looking for an additional enthusiastic and motivated GP to join our friendly, forward‑thinking and highly supportive team at Annan North Surgery. We are particularly interested in applicants with an enthusiasm for Women’s Health, although we would warmly welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates.
We are a well‑established, high‑performing training practice providing care to approximately 7,400 patients across Annan and the surrounding rural community. We pride ourselves on delivering traditional family medicine within a modern, supportive and sustainable working environment.
Our clinical team includes 4 GP partners, 3 salaried GPs, an experienced ANP and 4 Practice Nurses, supported by an excellent wider multidisciplinary and administrative team. We have a strong reputation locally for high‑quality patient care, innovation, teaching, and teamwork.
This is an ideal opportunity for a GP looking for:
A genuinely supportive and collaborative practice culture
A sustainable and manageable workload
Variety in day‑to‑day clinical work
Opportunities to develop specialist interests
A potential future pathway to Partnership
The role includes a balanced and BMA‑compliant mix of face‑to‑face, telephone and eConsult appointments, together with a share of Duty Doctor sessions and home visits. The successful applicant will also contribute to care within our local community hospital alongside our ANP team.
As a long‑standing training practice, we are committed to education, professional development and mentoring, making this an excellent opportunity for both newly qualified and experienced GPs.
Why Dumfries & Galloway? Annan is situated on the beautiful Solway Firth, offering an exceptional quality of life with easy access to both countryside and coast. The area combines affordable living, excellent outdoor opportunities and strong local communities with convenient transport links to Carlisle, Glasgow, Edinburgh and the wider UK via the M74/M6 corridor.
If you are looking for a practice where you can enjoy medicine, feel valued by colleagues, and achieve an excellent work/life balance, we would love to hear from you.
