ALS Laboratories are looking for a Sales and Client Services Manager to head up their Environmental Sales and Client Services teams.
The successful candidate be responsible for leading, managing, motivating and uniting the UK Environmental Sales and Client Service Teams, delivering the company’s revenue and EBIT objectives and defining the client-facing strategy for the business.
This role requires someone with a strong leadership background, a strategic and creative thinker, with the ability to work under pressure while making decisions based upon sound judgement and reasoning, and excellent attention to detail.
The role is hybrid working, but will require candidates to travel to our Hawarden, Coventry, and Wakefield sites on a regular basis, and occasional overnight stays, therefore a driving license is required.

Contract: Full Time and Permanent
Hours: 37 Hours
Key Responsibilities
* Enhance our reputation and protect our business by developing strong senior level relationships will all ‘top tier’ utility and commercial clients through regular meetings and interactions.
* Underpin these relationships and our future financial security by overseeing the negotiation of contracts with key clients.
* Provide leadership & direction in the exploitation of new and emerging testing opportunities.
* Work with internal colleagues across the business (Technical, Quality, Transport, Accounts) to ensure that we always fulfil our commitment to ‘exceeding client expectations’.
* Manage the ‘team dynamic’ to always provide a ‘best fit’ between the Sales/Client Service Teams and clients that delivers the best results for the business.
* Take the lead in all aspects of people management including recruitment, counselling, and disciplinary matters.
* Represent the Sales and Client Service Teams at the monthly Senior Management meetings and weekly Business Highlight meetings.

About You

* Strong inter-personal skills with an ability to listen and take on board new ideas as well as be decisive when needed.
* Previous experience of working within the Environmental industry (ideally for a service provider) preferable.
* Enthusiastic & friendly disposition.
* Computer literate with good grasp of Microsoft Office & Outlook packages.
