Collab / Workplace Engineer
Location: Barrow-in-Furness | Full-Time | 5 Days Onsite
Salary: Up to £36,000
We’re looking for an experienced and customer-focused Collab / Workplace Engineer to join a fast-paced IT support environment supporting high-profile end users and business operations onsite in Barrow-in-Furness.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong desktop support experience who enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and delivering excellent customer service in a dynamic enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete assigned technical tasks within agreed timeframes
* Support project delivery alongside internal and external project teams
* Carry out operational and support activities to SLA targets
* Deliver exceptional customer support and user experience
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues
* Support desktop deployments, upgrades, and configurations
Skills & Experience
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments (Windows 10/11 preferred)
* Experience with Microsoft Office and end-user support
* SCCM experience including OS deployment, application deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting
* Understanding of scripting technologies such as PowerShell, VBScript, or batch scripting
* Knowledge of BitLocker, NTFS permissions, and desktop security practices
* Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Exchange environments, and collaboration tools
* Experience using ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
Requirements
* Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC)
* Applicants should have lived continuously in the UK for the last 5 years
* Successful candidates will undergo standard pre-employment screening including DBS and employment checks
