GB Railfreight are seeking a driven Project manager with a focus on compliance, to take on the role of coordinating the Vehicle / Infrastructure Compatibility Process that meets our obligations under ROGS 2006, as amended, and pertinent Rail Industry Standards. The role involves supporting the business through the development of systems and processes to identify projects, compiling a robust scope, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and holding stakeholders to tight timescales to deliver against business needs and objectives. Building relationships, communication and time management are key for success in this role. This role will play a vital part in the delivery of ETCS fitted locomotive fleets providing a key link between the design houses and infrastructure managers to ensure that compliant vehicle / infrastructure compatibility is evidenced throughout every stage of the project. The role also offers the opportunity to develop and support other strands of internal engineering change processes ensuring our continued compliance to ROGS 2006, as amended, and supporting ECM certification requirements. Closing date: 24th April 2024 Develop systems to identify compatibility requirements in a timely manner. Liaise with Contract and Sales managers to identify new workstreams. Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure compatibility projects are sufficiently scoped to meet the customer needs against the required timescales. Work closely with Planning department regarding route restrictions and prohibitions. Build and maintain key relationships within key Infrastructure Managers e.g. Network Rail. Maintain project plans for Compatibility Projects and communicating status against agreed KPI with key stakeholders. Obtain authorisation of Compatibility Files and track Network Rail submissions communicating to relevant stakeholders. Ensure that Statements of Compatibility are reviewed and authorised and ensure suppliers receive a copy of relevant documents. Identify project risk and work with internal and external stakeholders to establish risk mitigations and controls to deliver compatibility projects on time and on budget. Ensure the developed process continues to comply with pertinent standards including but not limited to: ROGS 2006, as amended, RIS-8270-RST and RIS-2453-RST. Confirm the supplier registers finalised Statement of Compatibility with Rolling Stock Library (ATOS Worldline - R2). Processing Engineering Change requests through the Engineering Change process; Delegated Authority for Engineering Change, RIS-2453-RST Vehicle Registration activities on R2 Reporting on KPI’s applicable to Compatibility and Engineering Change. Essential Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office Applications. Strong interpersonal skills. Effective Communicator and all levels. Previous Project Management and Problem Solving experience. Proven record of delivery of projects on time and on budget. Experience of managing Engineering Change projects Flexible and willing to travel, some travel will involve overnight stays. Clean UK driving licence. Desirable Experience of managing Compatibility projects and understanding of RIS-8270-RST. Previous relationships within Infrastructure Managers e.g. Network Rail.
