We are seeking a dedicated Stocker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our processing and warehouse teams and operations, operates smoothly and efficiently. This position involves managing inventory, picking sick for repairs, allocation parts, scanning and moving stock, stocking shelves, and assisting with logistics to meet the demands of our supply chain. The successful applicant will have strong analytical skills and experience in warehouse management systems, enabling them to contribute to process improvements and effective category management.
Responsibilities
* Efficiently stock products on shelves and ensure that merchandise is displayed according to company standards.
* Perform data mining and analysis to track inventory levels and identify trends for effective decision-making.
* Conduct root cause analysis for any discrepancies in stock levels or inventory issues.
* Collaborate with the logistics team to manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
* Utilise ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS) for accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
* Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency within the warehouse environment.
* Assist in materials handling, including heavy lifting when necessary, while adhering to safety protocols.
* Engage in category management by analysing sales data and making recommendations for merchandising strategies.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a warehouse or retail management role is preferred.
* Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
* Familiarity with logistics processes, supply chain management, and 3PL operations is advantageous.
* Experience operating forklifts and other materials handling equipment is desirable.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for effective stock management and merchandising strategies.
