As the ideal candidate you will have some experience working in an administrative role within a supply chain, materials, stock, production or service delivery team. This role requires a proactive approach and the confidence to liaise on email or the phone with the supply chain partners on a range of stock supply issues.The position will support an experienced Purchasing Planner and Supply Chain Manager and will give a great opportunity for developing skills and responsibilities in a supportive team.Your role will involve:
1. Working closely with the Supply Chain Manager and Senior Purchasing Planner to assist with the smooth running of the department
2. Dealing with Packing lists, purchase orders and stock shortages
3. Liaising with suppliers both in the UK, Europe and Far East
4. Working with Customer Care and Despatch Departments
5. Answering telephone calls and taking messages or directing them to the correct department
6. Resolving issues/queries in a timely manner
