Job Description:

Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer (Remote, United Kingdom)

We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence, ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Join Telent's Engineering Team to innovate, collaborate with technical experts, and contribute to critical infrastructure connectivity and protection.


Responsibilities:

* Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
* Prepare technical designs and specifications for complex signalised junctions and crossings
* Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
* Develop MOVA Designs and Datasets
* Ensure compliance with standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
* Validate MOVA systems for complex junctions and roundabouts


Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience designing signalised junctions and crossings, seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with innovative perspectives on traffic signal design.


Key Requirements:

* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
* Microsoft Office skills
* Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
* Experience with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
* Knowledge of LinSig 3
* Full UK Driving Licence
