The Assistant Management Accountant is responsible for supporting the finance team to maintain accurate and timely information in our systems and for providing internal reporting and financial control.
Responsibilities
* Work with the Finance Director to prepare monthly management accounts
* Provide assistance to the Management Accountant and other members of the Finance team as required
* Handle accruals and pre-payments
* Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
* Assist with Asset-Based Lender processes
* Assist with the preparation of VAT submissions
* Post Amazon invoices
* Organise events and office duties
* Carry out ad-hoc tasks as required
Qualifications
* A degree or AAT Level 3 or above qualification is essential
* Must have 3 years’ experience working within an Accounts role
* Possess an understanding of month-end processes
* Strong working knowledge of MS Excel is essential
* ERP knowledge is desirable
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work towards deadlines and manage own time
* Good organisational and interpersonal skills
* Openness to learn
