Application Engineer

Role Purpose The Sales Application Engineer supports sales growth and customer satisfaction bybining technical expertise, solution design, and customer-facing engagement. The role ensures that customer requirements are translated into effective system designs and that projects are delivered successfully.What the Role Does (Primary Functions)
1. Sales lead planning and reporting to support business development.
2. System design for life science applications.
3. Product selection and fulfilment, including ordering and coordination.
4. Contract oversight to ensurepliance and delivery accuracy.
5. Project delivery support for medium- and long-term installations.
Roles and Responsibilities
6. Create technical proposals and provide application-specific advice.
7. Explainplex product features and demonstrate how they address customer challenges.
8. Conduct technical demonstrations, proofs of concept (POCs), and proofs of value (POVs).
9. Troubleshoot and optimise UGP performance during project installations.
10. Collaborate closely with the
Senior Applications Engineer and Global Product Manager during product development and deployment.
Qualifications and Experience Essential
11. Experience working with customers and goodmunication skills.
12. 0–2 years of experience in application engineering or 1-5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
13. Full, clean driving licence.
14. Strong organisational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desirable
16. Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or C&G/BTEC equivalent.
17. Knowledge of medical, breathing, and laboratorypressed air and gas systems, and vacuum technology.
18. AutoCAD experience.

20. Increases sales effectiveness by resolving technical barriers.
21. Drives product improvement through structured customer feedback.
Role Requirements
22. Based at the Markham Vale office.
23. Willingness to work away from home, including occasional overnight stays.
