We are looking for an initiative-taking and dependable individual with a passion for customer service and teamwork to lead the Inpatient Dispensary team in continuous service improvement initiatives, identifying, and implementing strategies to enhance the quality and efficiency of our dispensary services.
In this role, you will be responsible for the operational management of the inpatient pharmacy dispensary and associated staff. Working closely with the Chief Pharmacy Technicians, other Senior Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacists to develop an integrated service built around flexible attitudes and teamwork.
You will play a key role in the education, development, mentorship, supervision, and assessment of all staff within the dispensary. Participating in a system of Accredited Technician accuracy checking and providing necessary training for technical staff.
Duties include organizing rotas, holidays, and sickness cover for technical and support staff, using professional judgment to make appropriate decisions to maintain service provision.
The Post Holder will conduct the formulation, implementation, regular update, audit, and revision of Standard Operating Procedures for their area of responsibility.
Participation in local and national reviews of pharmaoutcomes.
