Warehouse Operative - Assembly
Location: Stead House Distribution Centre
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm.
Total Hours Per Week: 40
Introduction
An exciting opportunity to be part of our successful Superdrug Supply Chain, working within one of our busy Distribution centres as a Warehouse Operative. This vacancy is for the Savers DC, known as Stead House Distribution Centre, based in Darlington. The hours will predominantly be as stated above, but flexibility across all shift patterns will be required.

Role Purpose
The Warehouse Operative plays a key role in ensuring that store orders are picked and packed accurately, neatly, and safely to meet daily deadlines. This role involves operating Manual Handling Equipment (MHE) within safety guidelines to meet KPI standards. The Warehouse Operative reports to the Operations Team Leader at Stead House Distribution Centre.
Typical Daily Tasks
1. Picking products in line with order requirements.
2. Achieving all agreed daily/weekly work performance standards.
3. Maintaining excellent packing and accuracy disciplines.
4. Ensuring all picked stock is clean and undamaged, reporting issues to your Line Manager.
5. Working collaboratively to reduce shrinkage.
6. Keeping the work area clean and tidy, adopting a "Clean-As-You-Go" discipline.
7. Assisting the Operational Team with Health and Safety, reporting all incidents immediately.

Requirements
* Previous picking experience (not essential).
* Experience with barcode readers (HHT)/Voice picking is advantageous.
* Flexible approach to duties as directed.
* High numeracy skills.
* Excellent attendance record.
* Good teamwork and independent working skills.
* Strong health and safety awareness, adopting the "Always Safe at Work" ethos.
