Delivery Lead role within the Rates & FX Delivery team as part of TP ICAP Technology. You will own TP ICAP’s delivery pipeline and manage/support teams of employees and vendors to deliver value to our global customer base. You are expected to work closely with peers and team leads on dependency management and removing impediments to optimise team efficiency and throughput. An understanding of derivatives and trading platforms is a key requirement for the role.
Role Responsibilities
* Drive planning, estimation and coordination of the team’s technical roadmap and its execution
* Ensure realistic delivery roadmaps are maintained and communicate regularly and accurately to stakeholders
* Identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the project
* Implement, evaluate and continually improve the team’s product development workflow, artefacts and events
* Manage change control and surface schedule- or cost-impacting changes to stakeholders for approval
* Where appropriate, serve as Scrum Master in the delivery team
* Where appropriate, perform line manager duties
* Coordinate between cross-functional departments including Technology
* Adapt quickly to learn TP ICAP processes, systems and products
* Work with business SMEs as well as project and IT representatives
* Facilitate workshops and working groups to elicit clear outputs
* Provide support during User Acceptance Testing
* Collaborate with business sponsors, managers, broking staff and delivery teams to deliver technology change
* Capture and agree requirements, estimate resource effort and costs, and document benefits for approvals
* Support strategic business and change management objectives
* Organise meetings, set agendas and take minutes as necessary
* Manage ad-hoc tasks as required
Experience / Competences
Essential
* Substantial experience (5+ years) as an Agile Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, Delivery Manager or similar in financial services
* Strong understanding of agile and lean principles; coach teams and drive real change
* Budget accountability for projects/programmes over £1m
* Direct experience managing remote, augmented and vendor teams across multiple time zones
* Forecasting team capacity for sprint/increment/release planning
* Facilitation of estimation sessions to build realistic delivery schedules
* Identify and manage dependencies to minimise waste
* Prioritisation of backlog items to deliver highest value features first
* Excellent written and oral communication; strong teamwork
* Strong decision-making, prioritisation and accountability
Desirable
* Experience with financial/trading platforms and knowledge of financial markets
